Rachel Noble is a preeminent national security leader and former Director-General of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), Australia’s foreign signals intelligence and cyber security agency.

Over a distinguished career in public service, Noble has held senior leadership positions across a range of Australian Government departments and agencies, including Home Affairs, Immigration, Defence, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. Her experience spans national security policy, intelligence, cyber security, border protection and strategic governance.

As Director-General of ASD, Noble led Australia’s national signals intelligence and cyber security efforts during a period of significant technological and geopolitical change. She is widely recognised for her expertise in cyber security, emerging technologies and strategic policy.

Noble now serves as an independent adviser, providing strategic counsel on national security, cyber security, space and emerging technology issues.
